Our Cats

Welcome

We are a small, cageless cattery, specializing in Persian tabbies, bi-colors and solids. We live in a northwest suburb of Denver, Colorado, in a 4-bedroom house, in which 3 of the bedrooms belong to the cats!

All of the cat and kitten pictures in the Slide Show are past and present kitties we have had/have.

Home arrow behavior & training

Persian kittens are active, funny, playful, sweet, and very loving. They are not wild or aggressive. They are easy going, take good afternoon naps, and eat well. Persian adults are the same, except some have settled down a bit! We train our kitties to understand what the word, NO, means. We train them to NEVER go to an open door, never go on the kitchen or bathroom counters, and always undertand that being a Persian means an occasional bath, combing hair, and wiping eyes at least once a day with a moist wash cloth.  Our Persians do get lonesome at times, and need and enjoy our presence. We always have the radio on (either pleasant music or talk or sports) during day-time hours, so there is always some noise around. Our shades and drapes are open so they can look outside as much as they'd like. We clean every day, so they have clean towels to lay on, clean floors to walk on, and clean food dishes to eat out of.  All of our kittens are litter box trained by their mom, at about 5-6 weeks old, or as soon as they can climb into the litter box.  A lot of the kittens are also trained by their mom to drink from a water bottle, which is much safer than a bowl of water for young kittens. And, their ruff stays dry and clean! All of our kitties eat dry kitty food, usually a combination of different foods, or different foods in different bowls.

Last, but not least, our kitties train us! Without many words, they tell us what they want and need. And, we obey!
